Wayne sends statement to Rams; Landers, Smith lead win

After hearing about how talented the young Rams was, the Warriors took offense a little bit.

L'Christian "Blue" Smith shined vs Rams

Then their two thoroughbreds led them to a runaway victory over Trotwood, who was ranked #10 in the state polls coming into game.

... While the first quarter was played to a tilt, the 2nd and 3rd showed why the Warriors are, simply put, the better, more experienced squad.

Trey Landers (30 points) and L'Christian "Blue" Smith (26 points) were unstoppable on the boards and inside offensively.

The Rams had no answer for the dynamic duo, who combined for almost as many points (56) as the Rams had themselves (61).

Wayne switched up defenses on Freshman sensation Amari Davis and the Rams, and it stymied the young guns normally efficient offense.

Wayne jumped out to a 14 point lead 47-33 & it seemed as if the Wayne Train would cruise to another easy win.

But Trotwood made a vintage run and cut the lead to 7, before Smith took over the final 5 minutes and secured the win- going away.

.Once Stephens,  the other Fab Frosh who starts for the Rams, had fouled out?

RAP City the basement for the Rams.

Wayne now moves to 15-0 while Trotwood falls to 14-2.

The game was televised on Time Warner as the OSHAA Game of the Week. With Wayne being #1 in the state and Trotwood hovering close by, look for more games on TV from these schools
