YMCA Holiday Hoopfest Featuring MBL Star Devaughn Taylor
Midwest Basketball League star and Dunking Dynamo Devaughn Taylor is one of the key players who will be helping with the Holiday Hoopfest at the West Carrollton YMCA this weekend.
Taylor was one of the best players in the League, and helped keep the Kentucky Flash in the Top 5 of the MBL all season.
Taylor, who is a dunking dynamo and a explosive offensive scorer, is ready to help the Flash reach the MBL Championship - and sign a huge overseas or G-League deal in the same year.
The camp will last for two days (16th-17th) and Taylor along with former Penn State big man Brandon Hassell and other pros, will be helping with drills, contests, and such.

Tuesday Recap: Belmont ends "Streak" against Dunbar; Wayne wins in OT; Stivers, Lebanon stay undefeated; Trotwood drops 113
Here's the Recap / Top Headlines of what happened in Tuesdays recap of Week 3 in the OHSAA Hoop Ranks:
Belmont ends "Streak"; Outlasts Dunbar in 3 OTs
The Belmont Bison hadn't beaten Dunbar in so long (20+ years) in the hoop world, that it was starting to feel like the Bison would never end the streak.
Despite all the chaos that ensued, the Bison were able to pull out a wild 81-80 (3 OT) victory on Tuesday to snap a multi-decade streak in which the Bison contigent would rush the floor in celebration immediately after the game.
You could even see the football coaches (Earl White included) and principal running around and celebrating as well, as the "streak" was finally over.
And what a ending it was.
In a game which both teams had equal opportunity to win, the Bison gave up a lead late in the 4th, then missed a opportunity in the 2nd OT with 3 missed attempts, before finally holding off the pesky Wolverines in the 3rd OT.
Led by Jaden Furlow and Jeff Hunt, the Bison were up 81-77 before a long 3-ball by Michael Elmore (17pts) setup the scene for the last play.
Belmont would turn the ball over setting up Dunbar for a final shot in which Dylan Craver would miss the 3, sending the Bison into a frenzy.
Dunbar was led by big men Johnathan Allen who was dominant and dropped 26, 16, & 6 blocks, while Tavion Thomas added 14 and 9 boards.
Belmont was led by Hunt (23 pts, 7 dimes), Furlow (19pts, 14 rebs, 4 dimes, 2 stls, 2 blks) & G Kendall Moore (14pts, 4 dimes, 5-6 FTs).
Belmont moves to 3-0 while Dunbar falls to 1-2.
Stivers wins late, lead by fab frosh
The Stivers Tigers are 4-0 after
Rising star and freshman Allen Lattimore was able to lead the Tigers to a big home win over Ponitz.
Lattimore, who has paired up in the backcourt with super sophomore Trevon Ellis, scored 23 points on 8-11 shooting to lead the Tigers.
Da'Juan Allen added 18 and Ellis added 11 points, 5 rebs and 5 dimes to lead the Tigers.
Big man Nazir Rolack worked the paint for 14 points and 8 boards to help lead a balanced attack.
Stivers dominated the 2nd and 3rd quarter and cruised to a nice win.
Stivers moves to 4-0 while Ponitz falls to 1-4.
Wayne rolls past the Creek in OT
Wayne
Star G-F Darius Quisenberry was able to lead the Wayne Warriors to a OT win at Beavercreek. The Warriors had 4 guys in double figures, led by Quisenberry who dropped 32 on the Beavers. The Wayne Train would score 19 in the OT, more than any points they scored in any quarter up until that point.
Ohio State commit Blue Smith added 17 pts, 8 rebs, and 2 steals while Deshon Parker also dropped 11 with 8 boards, 3 dimes, 2 steals and a block.
Jon Alessandro dropped 24 points and 8 boards in the loss for Beavercreek.
Wayne moves to 3-0 on the season.
Lebanon rides dual threat to another win
The Warriors of Lebanon stay undefeated with another big win over Xenia in which Harrison Hookfin led Leabanon with 17 points and 13 boards, along with a block and 2 steals, while dynamic guard Drew Sekerak added 13 with 3 boards, 2 assists, and 2 steals as well.
Star G Samari Curtis led Xenia with 23, but nobody else scored in double figures.
Lebanon moves to 4-0 on the season and 1st place in the Division. The duo has been unstoppble so far this season.
Meadowdale grabs first win against Thurgood
The Meadowdale Lions (1-2) rode star G Jabali Leonard and fab frosh Will Hill to its first city league win over Thurgood on Tuesday night by a score of 65-62.
With both teams starting slow this season, the game was intense as Thurgood held a small lead going into halftime.
In the 2nd half Preseason Player of the Year candidate Leonard and fab frosh Hill took over, as Leonard scored 16 and added 13 boards to go with 3 dimes and a steal while Hill finished with 17 with 4 boards, 2 dimes and 2 steals.
Meadowdale goes to 1-2 while Thurgood falls to 1-4.
Trotwood drops 113 on West Carrollton
The Trotwood Rams shook off the loss to Akron St V St Mary with a huge win over West Carrollton.
The Rams, a State Semifinalist last year, lost to Akron St V last weekend in its season opener.
The Rams are now 1-1.
Springfield wins on road, stops Burg
The Wildcats got a big road win, as they stopped Miamisburg narrowly and improve to 3-0 on the season.
They are one of 4 teams still undefeated in the GWOC.

Kerry Ivy, the Offensive Coordinator of the Trotwood Rams, came on the set of Dayton HS Sports earlier this week.
Ivy talks about winning his 2nd championship, his high powered offense, the haters, his relationship with Markell Stephens-Peppers and Jeff Graham, and much more!
Ivy now feels much more at ease with the 2nd Championship, as you can see here:

Minor Setback for a Major Comeback; Rams win State, Silences Haters
Last year, the Trotwood Rams went into the OHSAA state football championship game feeling really confident that they could get it done and be 2016 - 17 state champions.
In that game, the Rams would be embarrassed, shut out on national TV and headed home with a nasty taste in their mouth.
Rams Coach Jeff Graham, the coaching staff, and the team was diploatic about it, but steaming inside.
Was the Rams overrated? Did they need some new juice in coaching or on the field? What was the reason for the collapse?
And on and on and on the questions ensued all summer and through the fall.
When the season started this year, there would be no hype train. Just all focus. No interviews, no preseason hoopla.
This could be why the Trotwood Rams (15-0) are the 2017-18 OHSAA Division 3 State football champions after a comeback win on Saturday night vs Tri-Valley 27-19.
In In game that went back and forth, the Rams would step up in the most crucial of situations, in the 4th quarter.
Down 19-14 in the 3rd, the Rams was able to score, shut down Tri-Valley and secure the championship on a William McDaniel TD, his 2nd of the half.
McDaniel scored 3 times on the night, while Hargrove got the Rams going with the 1st TD.
Hargrove, the runner up Mr Football, ran for 137 while McDaniels ran for 142 yards.
Then, in normal fashion, the Rams vaunted defense stepped up, as Jayvanare Nelloms snatched a huge INT, the only turnover of the night, and the Rams would hold on for the huge win.
The Rams have won their 2nd State Football title, the other in 2011. Offensive Coordinator Kerry Ivy stated, "This one means a lot" in which Ivy and the coaching staff endured all the criticism from last year.
All the haters can fall back now, as the Rams showed why they are the top team in D-3 & arguably the best in the State.
Congrats to Ram Nation on the title.
The question is, are the Rams the best in Ohio and the Midwest?
