Regional Final Playoff; Springfield, Tippecanoe, Valley View Reach State Semifinals

 Here is the Headlines / Recap on the OHSAA Regional Finals in football in  Southwest Ohio



Springfield Smacks Olentangy Liberty, Earns 4th Straight Title Berth 

The Springfield Wildcats showed how dominant they have been as they shut down Olentangy Liberty 35-7 and moved to their 4th consecutive State Semifinal berth.



Despite blowing two big opportunities, Springfield took a 14-0 lead into half and opened up with another TD after a defensive stop. 

WR Anthony Brown was a star once again, leading the Cats in their ariel attack which his been unstoppable all season. 

The Wildcats will face Moeller, who downed Lakota West in the Regional Final. 

With this win this gives Springfield its 4th consecutive trip to the OHSAA State Semifinals.


Tippecanoe Stops Badin Late, Earns 1st State Semifinal Berth for MVL 



The Tippecanoe Red Devils knocked off the #1 seed in The Regional finals in a tight game that featured a variety of leqd changes.  

Badin who took a 17-10 lead in the 2nd half, seemed to be headed for a win when the offense came alive and scored on a TD pass from Poronsky to tie the game. 

It wasnt until the late stages of the 4th quarter that the game was decided on a FG by Jackson Kleather to seal the deal. DB Carson Robbins led the team with 12 tackles and 2 huge interceptions to help seal the deal. 

Tippecanoe will face Bloom Carroll in the D-3 Semifinals at London HS on Friday night. The Red Devils become the first team in Miami Valley League history to make the OHSAA State Semifinals in football. 


VALLEY VIEW STOPS MILTON UNION, EXACTS REVENGE 



The Valley View Spartans lost to Milton Union last season, which ended their season. While it was a good run, their state dreams were cut short by the Bulldogs. 

This season the Spartans would exact revenge on the Bulldogs and garner another trip to the OHSAA State Semifinals.  

Valley View will face powerhouse Ironton in the D-5 Semifinals on Friday night.
