Dayton Schools Dominate Districts; Coronavirus Causes Uproar; Can Stivers continue its resurgence tonight?

DAYTON SCHOOLS DOMINATE IN DISTRICT PLAY

After last weekend, its clear that Dayton basketball is  at a high level.
In District play (Boys), the Dayton area teams smacked the Cincinnati area teams 5-2 as Centerville, Thurgood, Trotwood, Stivers, and Alter all advanced to the Regionals.

The only 2 teams to lose was Springboro (Moeller) and Beavercreek (Lakota).

With a State Berth on the line this weekend, which teams will rise up to the challenge?

CORONAVIRUS CAUSES DEWINE  TO CHANGE SPORTING EVENTS;

The Coronavirus has caused a widespread panic throughout the world, and it has hit the Ohio community,  causing the Governor of Ohio to make a decision.
Mike Dewine decided that there will be no fans at upcoming sporting events and big group gatherings in the State.
Ohio State, UD, and other schools have already shut down regular classes until further notice. They can only take online classes. There were a few cases found in Cuyahoga County, up in the Cleveland area.

Once this was heard, Dewine immediatedly took action.
While the Coronavirus has killed hundreds of people all over the world, most of the victims are elderly or young kids.

The effect will take place tonight as only the parents, the cheerleaders, and their close ones are the only people allowed at the Regional Semifinals tonight at UD Arena.
Media is also allowed, and will be paramount since 90% of the people who were coming to games this weekend won't be able to attend.

STIVERS LOOK TO KEEP STATE HOPES ALIVE TONIGHT
Doug Spears, Yalee, Trevon Ellis at Sectionals

The STIVERS TIGERS season has been full of ups and downs, but one thing is for sure:
The Tigers are locked in, which was no more evident than against Cincinnati power Taft.

Earlier in the season the Tigers, who were a favorite to grab a OHSAA State Berth from Dayton, had some issues, which almost led to the disintegration of the season.
But after some meetings, some conversation and some maturation from the players, the Tigers look as focused as ever.
Tonight they will take on the team that knocked them out last year- Anna.

While it wont be a huge crowd tonight, look for the Tigers to come out with a chip on their shoulder and play with a vengeance.

Seemingly renewed with energy after the arrival of Doug Spears and Trevon Ellis, the Tigers have handled all the obstacles so far.
Can they exorcise a demon and get some "Getback" tonight?

LIVE STREAMING TONIGHT!

We will be going FACEBOOK LIVE tonight at the Game.
The game starts at 8pm at UD Arena
